Anime information

So, I was wondering, how each one of us get information about ANIME.
There are friends, fan clubs, Anime meetings, video store (or anime store), TV, web sites, databases, forums, chat, etc.
So, if each one of us can post how do we do it, we can make a more informative forum.
Also, I have watched a lot....lot lot of Anime. So at one point I decided I needed a way to keep myself updated, and informed about my anime and what I have watched. Have you guys had this problem? What have you done?
There are programs that can help with that (I use one for Video Games actually), Excel spreadsheet, database, etc.
So, please post what are your choices on both and how do you keep yourself and your collection organized.

I don't actually organize my anime, but I find in a few ways:

1. Friends. My friends suggest anime and I look it up.

2. TV. When I say TV, I mean I was just watching and I found it.

3. Theres also times where I watch anime on the internet, and what happens is there are links to similar anime or the author the anime I'm watching has posted other animes as well.

I am not in my main pc, where I have the db, but I have watched 200+ Anime.
I also have several sources for Anime information, and for news.
I should be back at home in a couple of weeks (after I finish this vacation) and then I can put the spreadsheet as an example, but I have found even a better way to keep catalogged my Anime...surprise. I just want to see if someone else does the same.

I don't really organize anime I've seen. But I find out about it in a couple ways:
-Magazines, mostly Anime Insider.
-TV. I always watch Adult Swim and Toonami.
-Websites.
- See it at stores, like Best Buy.
-And reccomendations that friends make.
I have had problems with keeping track of anime I've seen, but haven't done much about it.

i don't organize either, but i hear about new shows over the net and in magazines mostly. I've never seen an add for Burst Angel on tv but I've heard alotabout it. (still haven't checked it out) If there is a show i really like, i might look up the name of the creator in wikipedia to see what else that person has done, hope that helps

I have several sources for Anime. Mainly directly from fansub groups, so I ausually watch an anime as soon as it comes up, and to keep track I used a spreadsheet which even has the detailed of rating and quality and format. Now I use and Online database for the new ones, because it saves me some trouble but I have so much Anime that I could take me a long long time to update my list

yea i dont really organize my anime eather but i dont really download any eather except bleach for amv perposes but usally i just watch on sites and i just favorite the site and pute into a anime site folder in my favorites section

When I started watching Anime there were no sites to watch from :p

i started watching anime when i was young but then i figured out that you can watch on internet about last year so bascially in one year i have watch all of bleach,naruto,one piece claymore kaze no stigam,eureka 7,trigun,aquarion,deathnote,gundam wing,seed,destiny,heroic age and exnosaga

and there are a few others but i forget there names lol

I like the quality of downloaded files, where I can watch in full screen and far from the PC, and even from my bed. Yep, I am too lazy

yes the quality of downloaded so much better but u can watch full screen on veoh and youtube but because of the quality you probly best off not to i downloaded all of bleach and it so much better quality then any uploaded ones i have seen
