| I wrote a long post, but I lost it all, so I am going to start again from scratch. What type of Anime Style do you like best? I find that there are more or less some categories for the style of the animation and drawing. The styles with some explanation are: 3D Style = Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. All 3D graphics and CG Anime and some 3D = Initial D, Mainly Anime with some 3D graphics 3D and Anime = Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. Even the Anime graphics tend to give the feeling of the CG. Pencil Style = Honey and Clover. Anime that looks like really drawn and colored with pencul Pastel Style = Last Exile (And there was another anime where the aliens were called Mu, if you remember the name please post it) This is my favorite style. The coloring style looks like made with pastel (type of chalk) coloring Colorful Style = my definition for Sailor Moon Style. This Animes are usually filled with colors, and it is a marketting point Fast Pace Style = FCLC style. Fast pacing action where one has no clue what is happening :p Flat and Brilliant Style = Gantz style. The coloring is flat using dark backgrounds. The dimension is giving by stripes of lighter color, but still flat Manga Style = Can't think of any example, well, it has the style of Manga more than Anime. AstroBoy Style = Fantastic Children, Cyborg 009. Rounded style, less details, but fluid animation. Reminds me of older Anime. I know I had more styles in mind, but I can't remember them now :p Well, if you have a suggestion please say so. We can see if it can be added to the poll. You can chose multiple Styles. | |

| I will take it that you haven't watched GITS SAC. I highly recomend it. If it was all 3d CG it would not be considered btw. There has been a lot of good anime mixing the style, like Inital D or GITS SAC, both were really good. The 3d part in Initial D helped to produce a more realistic part in the races, while the story was still drawn, and with GITS, well, the whole anime is based in the future, so there are lots of parts that fit a lot better in CG. Now that I think about it, most Anime that have futuristic and space in mind have CG | |

| It is weird, the forum did not send me update about new post in the thread. Anyway, DZ, I used to live in Elkton before, so that is MD already. Now I drift about in DE. GITS SAC I think is a bit complex plot wise, but that is why I liked it | |

| I like the Elfen Lied look but I also love the 3Dish effects of Kanon. Bath scene with the duck was a nice example of it's superior graphics. | |

| I don't remember any rape on it, but I watched it quite a long time ago. Also I might point that I think you are confusing Hentai with Ecchi. In English, it has some Nudity, mainly in the first episode, but it is justified according to the story. Nonetheless is a graphical violent story. Extremely good story, extremely smart. I am a bit confused, you said you weren't interested, but you have it listed as a favorite Anime. Anyhow for anyone that is interested a bit here is a link to a description of the anime http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=226However I recomend if you are brave to watch the anime without readying any sipnosis or review. I never read any of those (not even for a movie) because I like to find out the plot as I am watching. | |
